7th Person Dies from Stage-Collapse Injuries

A seventh victim of the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair has died after she was removed from life support so her organs could be donated.

Meagan Toothman, 24, of Cincinnati, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Indiana State Police and the Marion County Coroner's Office. Doctors battled brain swelling after she suffered catastrophic injuries following the August 13 stage collapse.

A seventh person is dead from injuries suffered in a stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair more than a week ago.

Meagan Toothman, of Cincinnati, was among the 45 people injured in the calamity as Sugarland was preparing to take the grandstand stage. Winds up to 70 MPH began to blow, toppling the stage and rigging into the crowd.

The Marion County coroner's office has confirmed that a seventh victim of the State Fair accident died Monday.
