Gabrielle Giffords Appears in Congress to Vote on Debt-Ceiling Raise

Gabrielle Giffords made her return to Washington today to vote in favor of the measure, reports Politico.
The House on Monday approved bipartisan legislation to raise the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling and reduce long-term budget deficits, endorsing the agreement President Obama struck with Republican leaders.
Flanked by Democratic leaders, the Arizona Democrat waved and mouthed “thank you,” as the House offered her a standing ovation.
