Ohio Exotic Animal Farm Owner Kills Self, Releases Animals

Though most of the lions, wolves and bears on the loose in Muskingum County have been killed, authorities issued an advisory at 11 a.m. for hunters, campers, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts.

The owner of a wild animal preserve released dozens of animals from their cages before he shot and killed himself as officials Wednesday continued to search for a mountain lion and grizzly bear still roaming the area.

Schools shuttered and some frightened residents said they were keeping to their homes as sheriff's deputies hunted lions, tigers, leopards and grizzly bears that escaped from a preserve after the death of the owner.
