Texas Rangers defeat New York Yankees, 4-1

ARLINGTON - If this weekend was any indication, October might be a very short month for the Yankees.

Cliff Lee looked like his vintage self with eight-plus dominant innings Sunday, leading the Rangers to a 4-1 win and a three-game sweep of the Yankees. Lee allowed one run on two hits and three walks, cruising through a lineup that was without Alex Rodriguez, Nick Swisher and Brett Gardner.
