DETROIT -- White Sox general manager Ken Williams is obviously full of surprises.

The reaction Sox manager Ozzie Guillen had to the latest rumor surrounding the team Thursday was further evidence of that.

Guillen was told there was a report of Williams inquiring about free-agent slugger Carlos Delgado, who hasn't played in a major-league game since May 2009 and has had several hip surgeries along the way.
