Chicago White Sox defeat Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-1

DETROIT -- Edwin Jackson's job description has been made clear to him since he came to the White Sox in a deadline deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks: Throw strikes, attack hitters, be aggressive, win games.

Nowhere in there did it state that the right-handed pitcher had to try to win over Sox fans who were critical of the deal.
