Atlanta Braves defeat Chicago Cubs, 16-5

One of their worst games in a season filled with bad ones wasn't what the Cubs wanted to give their departing manager.

''I don't know if I've ever been on a field with tears in my eyes since the fifth-grade championship,'' catcher Koyie Hill said after Sunday's 16-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves, manager Lou Piniella's last game. ''We've lost a lot of good people this year. We've lost our family members, and now our skipper.''
