Texas Rangers defeat Chicago White Sox, 3-1

ARLINGTON, Texas -- It's supposed to be about manufacturing for the White Sox.

Pitching, defense and finding a way to score runs without the benefit of a power-laden lineup.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Those in the know project rookie third baseman Dayan Viciedo as a middle-of-the-order hitter. Sox manager Ozzie Guillen has mixed feelings about that.

''I hope not,'' Guillen said with a laugh, knowing if Viciedo is needed there it would mean his big run-producers were underperforming.
