Los Angeles Angels defeat New York Yankees, 10-2

The brilliant start to Phil Hughes' season has faded in the rear-view mirror, and what has appeared in the windshield is a stark reality.

Hughes didn't have it again Tuesday night with the Yankees going against the tough Los Angeles Angels. He couldn't get an out in the sixth before manager Joe Girardi lifted him in what became a 10-2 loss before 47,775 at the Stadium. He was battered for six runs, the fourth time in his last six starts he's allowed five or more runs.
