Crystal Bowersox Sings the National Anthem at Toledo Mud Hens Game
(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Mud Hens are pleased to announce that American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox will be singing the National Anthem prior to the Toledo Mud Hens game on Friday, May 14.
Crystal Bowersox sang the national anthem at the Mud Hens game. That's all that really mattered.
Elliston's pride and joy and one of three American Idol finalists got to throw out the opening pitch and sing the national anthem in front of a record crowd at Fifth Third Field of 13,200.
Bowersox took a trip around the warning track. When she arrived, the place went nuts. Her opening pitch went to Hens outfielder Jeff Frazier, whose favorite TV show is American Idol.
As for the game itself, Toledo lost 8-1.
