Minnesota Twins defeat Los Angeles Angels, 10-1

ANAHEIM, CALIF. — If the first series was a sign of what's ahead for the Twins, this should be a fun year.

Facing one of baseball's best teams, in a ballpark where they hadn't won a series since 2002, the Twins looked formidable all week.

On Thursday night, they showed more power from the bottom half of their batting order, and Kevin Slowey was solid in his first start since July 3 as the Twins defeated the Angels 10-1.
