Doug Davis has been the forgotten man.
Right-hander Yovani Gallardo graduating into an opening day starter, the free-agent acquisition of left-hander Randy Wolf, the ongoing Jeff Suppan saga and the competition for the fifth spot in the rotation have all overshadowed Davis' return to the Milwaukee Brewers.
He had a relatively quiet spring after a one-year, guaranteed $5.25 million deal got him out of Arizona and solidified his third spot in Milwaukee's rotation.
Baseball folks are fond of saying it takes all 25 players on a major-league roster to win over the course of a long season.
