St. Louis Cardinals defeat Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-2

ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Cardinals took over the National League lead in homers with an opportunistic first inning Tuesday night against Arizona out west at Chase Field.

The Cardinals, who have relied heavily on the homer to power their offense this season, entered the game tied with the host Diamondbacks atop the NL, with 17 homers each.
