Phil Mickelson wins the 74th Masters Championship

Soon, reality will once again set in for Phil Mickelson.

There will be more visits to Houston, to take wife Amy to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for treatment. There will be more days she doesn't do well, the meds kicking in and making her feel nauseous, fatigued. There will be days when he'll need to handle the kids while she handles the fight against breast cancer.

There will be days when Mickelson wins a tournament and his wife and kids may not be available to greet him, to hug him and to celebrate with him like they were Sunday at Augusta National. There will be more days when the quality of life is not where it should be for a multi-millionaire golfer and his poster-perfect family.

Ole’ Lefty, Phil Mickelson, won the 2010 Masters Golf Championship on Sunday with a masterful final round. Mickelson, the best golfer of the past twenty years this side of Tiger Woods, beat Lee Westwood by three strokes for his third

Phil finished with a birdie to finish at (-16) under par. Westwood finished at (-13). Woods was five back at (-11)

The win was emotional for Mickelson and his wife, Amy Mickelson, who has been battling breast cancer. She had been bedridden all week but found the strength to be on the 18th green today to celebrate with her husband. Phil’s mom also has breast cancer.
