Milwaukee Bucks defeat Denver Nuggets, 102-97

Denver — It appeared to be an improbable task, maybe even an impossible one.

But the Milwaukee Bucks captured one of their signature victories of a captivating season as they stunned the West's No. 2 team, the Denver Nuggets, and used stifling defense to grab a 102-97 decision at the Pepsi Center on Saturday night.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: John Salmons sank all nine of his free throw tries, including two clutch attempts with 13.9 seconds left to give the Bucks a 102-97 lead and clinch the victory. The Bucks improved to 14-2 with Salmons in the lineup and he finished with 26 points, four assists and three rebounds while playing 40 minutes.
