The Knicks opened the second half of the season with a resounding thud. Mike D'Antoni's sinking team was embarrassed by the Chicago Bulls, losing 118-85, and dropping a season-high 14 games under .500. At 19-33, the Knicks would have to go 22-8 to avoid a ninth straight losing season.
