Philadelphia Flyers defeat New York Rangers, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA - The Rangers came to the City of Brotherly Love hoping to avenge their most recent visit here, the shootout loss on the final day of last season that put the Flyers in the playoffs and the Rangers on the golf course.

Instead, former Rangers Blair Betts and Nik Zherdev scored for the Flyers as the Blueshirts' road winning streak came to an end at three with a 4-1 defeat in which Philadelphia's Daniel Carcillo again emerged as a villain in orange.
