New York Giants defeat Detroit Lions, 28-20

After two weeks of dominating the opposition, the Giants got back to basics Sunday.

This time they merely did what was necessary.

In other words, they survived.

"Winning's not going to be pretty every week," said defensive end Justin Tuck. "We spoiled ourselves the last two weeks and had great runs. Today we found a way to get it done."
