Minnesota Vikings defeat New York Giants, 44-9
MINNEAPOLIS - Bill Sheridan's first season as Giants defensive coordinator almost certainly will be his last.
Though Tom Coughlin hasn't announced his intentions, several players, coaches and members of the organization all told the Daily News Sunday they expect Sheridan to be fired in the next few days. That's hardly a shock, since the team surrendered 427 points this year - the most since giving up 501 in 1966.
Still, Sheridan does have support from several players...

MINNEAPOLIS - Tom Coughlin thought his players would play for their pride. Instead they played as if they just wanted their miserable season to end.
And now it has, in a fittingly ugly and embarrassing way.
For the second straight week, the Giants were humiliated, this time in a 44-7 beating by the Minnesota Vikings. They somehow managed to show even less effort than they had a week ago in their fiasco of a home finale against Carolina.
