Ottawa Senators defeat Boston Bruins, 2-1

For several minutes of yesterday’s second period, Mark Recchi thought he had given teammates a one-goal lead.

Bang, Dennis Wideman had sent a pass down to Daniel Paille at the far post. Bang, Paille had slipped a pass through Erik Karlsson toward Recchi. And bang, the puck had glanced off Recchi’s left skate and past Brian Elliott at 12:11, seemingly giving the Bruins a 2-1 lead over Ottawa.

So now that both are back from injuries it's not surprising the Senators are on a roll.
