Dallas Stars defeat Minnesota Wild, 4-3

DALLAS - Another four-goal deficit led to more late-game drama from the Wild on Monday night, but the latest near-comeback didn't compare to the commotion goalie Josh Harding caused by wailing away at Steve Ott's face.

Harding, in to replace shellacked starter Niklas Backstrom, took exception to the Dallas Stars' agitator slashing him, then lying on him and finally taking his sweet old time getting off him.

DALLAS - Guillaume Latendresse received further affirmation Monday that he's not the same Guillaume Latendresse who played for the Montreal Canadiens.

Latendresse was named the NHL's "Third Star" after scoring a career-high four points in one game and his first career hat trick in another last week. His eight points for the week was second in the NHL behind "First Star" Alex Ovechkin.
