CLEVELAND - Francisco Liriano's performance in Wednesday night's 8-1 loss to Cleveland didn't cost him his spot in the Twins starting rotation, but it pushed him back to the brink.

Liriano (4-11) allowed four runs over five innings, giving up eight hits and four walks, keeping pace with Baltimore's Jeremy Guthrie (7-11) for the American League lead in losses.
