Milwaukee Brewers defeat Washington Nationals, 7-1
WASHINGTON (AP) The Milwaukee Brewers haven't had much success in day games this season so it was hardly surprising that as day turned to night their offense woke up.

Washington — Just as twilight approached at Nationals Park, the somnolent Milwaukee Brewers' bats came to life.
"I was anxiously anticipating the clock getting past 6 (p.m.)," said manager Ken Macha. "We went from a day game to a night game."
Macha was only half-kidding. After doing virtually nothing against the redoubtable Collin Balester for five innings, the Brewers exploded for six runs in the sixth Monday en route to a 7-1 victory over the Washington Nationals.
