St. Louis Cardinals defeat Cincinnati Reds, 4-1

The Cardinals may not have found another gear Monday night against the Cincinnati Reds, but they certainly rediscovered Kyle Lohse.

A season almost entirely marked by freakish injury, frustration and personal loss took a positive turn for Lohse in what ended as a 4-1 win before a Busch Stadium crowd 40,212. Lohse (5-7) lasted six four-hit innings to gain his first win since May 23 and add further definition to a starting rotation now leading its league in wins.
