Asked to describe Prince Fielder's speed to first base, Milwaukee Brewers manager Ken Macha smiled and said, "Blinding." Fielder had another word for it.
"Panic," said Fielder. "I have panic speed."
Call it what you will, but Fielder got the job done with a two-out, bases-loaded infield single in the eighth inning Wednesday night, propelling the Brewers to an important and hard-fought 5-4 nail-biter over St. Louis at Miller Park.
