First Death in Hungary Caused by H1N1 Flu Virus
A 41-year-old man, the first Hungarian to die of the H1N1 flu virus, has passed away without showing any symptoms of swine flu, officials said Wednesday.
Ferenc Falus, the Hungarian chief medical officer, said the man whose identity was not disclosed died of bronchitis last Wednesday and only a post-mortem showed he actually died of the H1N1 flu, the Hungarian news agency MTI said.
Budapest - The swine flu pandemic has claimed its first victim in Hungary, Chief Medical Officer Ferenc Falus informed the government on Wednesday. Post mortem tests on a 41-year-old man who died of pneumonia a week ago revealed that he had been infected with the H1N1 virus, the local news agency MTI reported.
