Bolder Boulder 2009

The Bolder Boulder, a 10k race held in Boulder, Colorado, is a big event for the city and, recently, has registered about 50,000 people every year.

2009, which was the race's 31st year, saw their 1,000,000th runner. The race, which is one of the largest races with a payout in the United States, always sees its fair share of professionals and world-class runners. This year, Simon Cheprot, a runner who was left off the Kenyan professional team for the race, won the citizen race and set a new record with a time of 29 minutes, 19 seconds.
