Houston - Playing "small ball" can be hard work at times.
Eschewing their favorite weapon, the home run, the Milwaukee Brewers banged out 13 hits Thursday night, making just enough pay off for a 4-3 victory over Houston at Minute Maid Park.
The squeaker allowed the Brewers to remain unbeaten in their last 10 series, winning eight and splitting two. After taking two of three from the Astros, the first-place Brewers have won 22 of 28 games.
