San Francisco - The Milwaukee Brewers are counting on young right-hander Yovani Gallardo to be their budding ace this season.

Gallardo not only pitched 6 2/3 solid innings Wednesday night, he delivered the big blow on offense with a three-run homer off future Hall of Famer Randy Johnson. The result was a 4-2 victory over San Francisco that gave Ken Macha his first "W" as manager of the Brewers.
