Rascal Flatts Wins ACM Award

For the eighth year in a row, members of Rascal Flatts have walked away with the Academy of Country Music Award for Top Vocal Group.

They have won steadily since the 2002 release of their second studio album, “Melt,” which has sold more than three million copies.

The Ohio-based trio has released five studio albums and one Greatest Hits album, all of which reached the Top 10 and four of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard country album chart.

This week, the band shares the No. 2 spot on the Hot 200 with other artists on the “Hannah Montana” movie soundtrack. They perform two songs on the soundtrack, “Backwards” and “Bless the Broken Road,” and appear in the movie as themselves.

On Tuesday, Rascal Flatts releases a sixth studio album, “Unstoppable.”
