Judge denies Rod Blagojevich's request to go to Costa Rica for Reality Show

A federal judge ruled today that former Gov. Rod Blagojevich cannot go to Costa Rica to film a reality show, saying he does not "have confidence" that Blagojevich will comply with the conditions of his bail.

It's way too soon. I don't think this defendant in all honesty ... fully understands the position he finds himself in."”

— U.S. District Judge James Zagel

Last we posted an article (Why Do We Give TV Shows to Criminals?) and mentioned that it was up to Judge James B. Zagel whether or not freshly impeached Former Governor Rod Blagojevich could bend the rules and fly to Costa Rica to make $80k / week on a celebrity reality show in the midst of his corruption trial. (We included the Honorable Judge's contact info, of course.)

And it looks like Blagojevich will have to get a job outside of tropical paradise. Judge Zagel ruled that Blagojevich's travel restrictions will not be lifted during his corruption and misconduct trial.
