The Celtics beat the Minnesota Timberwolves as they should have but still experienced the lapses that have burned them in previous home games.
Minnesota outscored Boston 63-56 in the second half, shot nearly 55 percent and Jonny Flynn scored 16 points. Doc Rivers wanted to give the bench some extended minutes in a blowout but he had to go back to the starters when the Timberwolves cut the lead to 12.
