San Jose Sharks defeat New York Rangers, 7-3

John Tortorella said after the Rangers' seventh straight win on Saturday that "we're teetering on going the wrong way here." In just a shade over a half-hour of hockey, they lost the road entirely.

At times, it was hard to tell where the Rangers' sloppiness ended and the fact the Sharks were bigger, stronger and better began - so take your pick, because they took turns Monday night in the 7-3 thumping the Blueshirts absorbed at the Garden for their first loss since open...

For whatever deficiencies have crept into the Rangers' game recently as they have built a seven-game winning streak, the Toronto Maple Leafs haven't made them pay for it. The team that comes into Madison Square Garden tonight might.

And so it was John Tortorella's message to his team Sunday that they have to find a way to return to the puck-possession game and workmanlike battles that got their streak rolling, because if Dany Heatley, Joe Thornton and the San Jose Shark...
