"Change" Is Released

"Change" is a single by country pop artist Taylor Swift.

It was released to iTunes on August 8, 2008, as part of the compilation album "AT&T TEAM USA Soundtrack". It also appears on her second studio album, Fearless.

Swift was quoted on the AT&T Blue Room site as saying that she had originally written the song "the day after she won the CMA Horizon Award...about being on a small record label in this huge music industry." She also said it has an "alternative meeting for competition...the Olympics is either make it or break it, and this song encompasses that."

"Change" initially "bubbled under" the Billboard Hot 100 chart, debuting at number 20 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart in the issued dated August 23, 2008. The following week, the song made a strong debut onto the Hot 100 at number ten, spurred by strong digital sales and a number three debut on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart. To date, "Change" is Swift's third highest charting single on the Hot 100, behind only "Love Story", which peaked at number 4 in December 2008 and "Fearless" which peaked at number 9 in October 2008. Showing some crossover success, "Change" debuted and peaked at number 57 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
