Kansas City Royals defeat Baltimore Orioles, 10-7

It was shaping up as another satisfying night for the home team at Camden Yards.

The Orioles had turned a three-run deficit into a four-run lead. Aubrey Huff continued his torrid pace by hitting homers in consecutive innings. The Orioles hit back-to-back triples for the first time in almost eight years, and Garrett Olson appeared to have settled down from his rocky start.

Given a 7-3 lead, Orioles starter Garrett Olson walked the leadoff batter, Jose Guillen, on four pitches in the sixth inning. Big mistake. The Royals went on to score seven runs, aided by Kevin Millar's error at first base that prevented the second out from being recorded.
