New York Mets defeat Florida Marlins, 5-3

Maybe Willie Randolph should give his starters the night off more often.

The Mets' bench trio of Damion Easley, Fernando Tatis and Ramon Castro combined to go 5-for-9 and drive in all of the Met runs in a 5-3 victory over the NL East-leading Marlins at Shea Tuesday night. Castro and Tatis finished with two RBI apiece, while Easley drove in one run.
