Seattle Mariners defeat Baltimore Orioles, 4-2

SEATTLE -- Jeremy Guthrie again did just about all he could do, getting deep in the game while holding down the Seattle Mariners.

But again, it wasn't good enough to get the Orioles' top starter his first victory of the season.

Jose Vidro broke an eighth-inning tie with a two-run single off Guthrie with the bases loaded, giving the Mariners a 4-2 victory over the Orioles in front of an announced 17,780 on a cold night at Safeco Field.
