Boston Red Sox defeat Seattle Mariners, 4-3
SEATTLE -- Winless in Seattle means sleepless in New England.
The Red Sox finally put a stop to the madness last night with a white-knuckle, 4-3 win over the Mariners. The victory snapped a nine-game Sox losing streak at Safeco Field.
"It's nice to be able to go out and shake hands after a game here," said a relieved Terry Francona. "I'm not sure when the last time was, but I know it had been a long time."
All teams have a house of horrors . . . a torture chamber ...
