MIAMI -- Had he not overheard a snippet on television before last night's game, Dontrelle Willis would not have known the buzz saw into which he was inserting his renowned left arm.

He didn't know the Red Sox were riding a 12-game winning streak, during which the team was scoring 7.6 runs per game. He knew the Red Sox were a quality offensive team. But beyond that he didn't concern himself too much with Boston's last four series.

Cabrera grounded to shortstop, scoring Uggla. Willingham walked. Hermida singled to right, scoring Jacobs and sending Willingham to third. Ross struck out.
