There were about 100,000 people at the ticker tape parade for the White Sox after winning the 2005 World Series in a 4-0 sweep of the Houston Astros.

Bob Armour, Bill McCarthy and I walked over from the ShopLocal ofice at 225 N. Michigan and waded through a sea of people to find a good spot at the corner of Lasalle and Washington. The parade lasted about 1 1/2 hours, ending at a large podium built at the intersection of Lasalle and Wacker.
