1998 United States Embassy Bombing

The U.S. embassies located in Nariobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania were bombed by terrorists representing the jihad of Osama bin Laden and Ayman-al Zawahiri.

The attack killed 301 people in all and injured thousands. The attack was headed by Ali Mohammed. This attack occured on the eighth anniversary of American forces in Saudi Arabia. In response to the attack, Bill Clinton called for "Operation Infinite Reach". This was a series of missiles set on targets in Sudan and Afghanistan in August of 1998.
