Snoop Dogg Releases Single "Still a G Thang"

"Still a G Thang" is the first single from Snoop Dogg's first album at No Limit Records called Da Game Is to Be Sold Not to Be Told.

The song reached number 19 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

The video is also the soundtrack for Snoop's 1998 short movie Da Game of Life, the video features scenes from the motion picture, and the two has Michael Martin likewise as the director.

The single contains a bonus track called Full Fledged Pimpin.

Snoop Dogg's first single from "Game," the track "Still A G Thang," seems to be a sequel of sorts to his Death Row-era hit "Nuttin' But A G Thang." Snoop also revisits his back catalog with "Gin & Juice II" on the new album, but as the rapper recently explained to our colleagues in the MTV Radio Network, his decision to release "Still A G Thang" as his first No Limit single had nothing to do with cashing in on his past. "It's just something I wanted to do," Snoop said during rehearsals for Thursday's MTV Video Music Awards. Yes, there's a movie too. Snoop's straight-to-video movie "Game Of Life," which co-stars fellow No Limit rapper C-Murder, hit stores this week.
