Attack on the Egyptian Embassy
On November 19, 1995 the Egyptian Embassy in Pakistan was attacked.
The attack started in the morning between 9 and 9:30 a.m.. Two men killed the security team with guns and other weapons. A small car carrying a bomb drove into the compound and the driver set the bomb off. This explosion opened the gates to the compound. A couple of minutes later a vehicle with a larger bomb drove in and was blown up destroying the building. The attack killed a total of seventeen people including the two suicide car bombers. The attack also injured around sixty people.
