Arkansas Beats Duke in Final Four

The 1994 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament involved 64 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball.

It began on March 17, 1994, and ended with the championship game on April 4 in Charlotte, North Carolina. A total of 63 games were played.
Arkansas, coached by Nolan Richardson, won the national title with a 76–72 victory in the final game over Duke, coached by Mike Krzyzewski. Corliss Williamson of Arkansas was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Nolan Richardson used his "40 Minutes of Hell" to guide Arkansas to its first NCAA crown with a 76-72 victory over Duke, which was playing its sixth Final Four in seven years and fourth final. Arkansas forward Corliss Williamson was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
