Scorpions release Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads
Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads is an official compilation album of 1980s hits by the German rock band Scorpions, released in 1989 on the Mercury Records label.
The title is considered by some to be somewhat misleading as it actually features only songs recorded whilst the group was signed to Mercury, ignoring the earlier output on RCA, to which Mercury did not have the rights even had the record company executives wished to feature tracks.
"Hey You", from the Animal Magnetism sessions, re-recorded "long version" of "Is There Anybody There?" and The Who cover "I Can't Explain" were previously unreleased.
The album reached platinum album status in the USA.
