Suicidal Tendencies release Controlled by Hatred/Feel Like Shit...Deja Vu
Controlled by Hatred/Feel Like Shit...Déjà Vu is a compilation album by the American thrash metal/crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, which was released on October 17, 1989 by Epic Records.
Although this album is technically either a compilation or a stop-gap double-EP, it is often disputed as to whether Controlled by Hatred/Feel Like Shit...Déjà Vu is the band's fourth full-length studio album. It is compiled of unreleased material, including covers of No Mercy, three never-before tracks ("Just Another Love Song", "Feel Like Shit... Déjà Vu" and "It's Not Easy", which is actually a cover of a song by Los Cycos) and two different versions of "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow" (from the band's 1988 album with the same title): the "video edited" version and the "heavy emotion" version.
This album includes Robert Trujillo's first work with Suicidal Tendencies, and the first of three Suicidal Tendencies albums to go gold.
