Stevie Wonder Releases Characters

Characters is a Grammy Award-nominated album by American recording artist Stevie Wonder, released by Motown Records on November 6, 1987 in the United States.

This is Stevie Wonder's twentieth album overall, and it debuted at #17 on the Billboard 200 and on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart at #1, staying there for a total of seven weeks.

This album was Stevie Wonder's first to miss the Top Five on the Billboard charts, and yielded the hit singles: Skeletons, Get It (featuring superstar Michael Jackson who, at the time, was riding high with the success of his Bad album), and the R&B ballad, You Will Know.
