Cedella Marley is born

Cedella Marley (born in Kingston, Jamaica on August 23, 1967) is daughter of reggae artist Bob Marley and Rita Marley.

She played in her brothers' group Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers.

Marley currently lives in Miami, where she is the C.E.O. of Tuff Gong International and a mother of three children. She continues to tour with the Melody Makers internationally and perform on numerous TV shows.

Marley has developed a collection of customized women's clothing, named Catch A Fire, the title of her father's first album.

Cedella, a founding member of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers who now oversees the Bob-inspired clothing line, Catch A Fire, sat down with BobMarley.com recently. In honor of Father's Day, she was asked for her greatest and most loving memories of her father, and she didn't hesitate to offer a few, with the broad, ever-growing smile on her face telling a story in itself.

When Cedella's father came to her in a dream, he inspired her to take the reins of the family business
