"What a Difference a Day Made" is a popular song originally written in Spanish by María Méndez Grever (María Grever), a Mexican composer, in 1934. Originally, the song was known as Cuando Vuelva A Tu Lado.
'María Grever (1884-1951) was a Mexican composer of concert and film music. She wrote more than 800 songs including boleros. She is widely known for her songs "Júrame" and "Cuando Vuelva A Tu Lado" ("What a Difference a Day Made").
She studied in Paris with Claude Debussy. She died in New York.
