Elvis Presley records first songs
On July 18, 1953, Presley went to Sun Records' Memphis Recording Service to record "My Happiness" with "That's When Your Heartaches Begin," supposedly as a present for his mother although it was months after her birthday.
“"What kind of singer are you?" He responded instantly, "I sing all kinds." "Who do you sound like?" she persisted. "I don't sound like nobody," was his response.”
